Antenatal Clinic

The antenatal clinic is held weekly on a Wednesday. The clinic is run by the community midwives. 

Cervical Smears

Cervical smears are carried out by the practice nurses.  Appointment slots are available throughout the week.

Minor Surgery

A variety of minor surgical procedures are carried out during normal surgery hours. The practice also conducts a ‘procedures clinic’ which is held on a Thursday afternoon.  This clinic is primarily for minor surgery and contraception.

Flu Vaccination Clinics

We strongly recommend an influenza vaccination to all patients over the age of 65 and those with diabetes, heart, lung, liver or kidney disease and women who are pregnant. Flu clinics are normally held annually during October.  

Pneumococcal Vaccination

The government has recommended this vaccination to all patients over the age of 65 and all patients classified at risk who are under 65. Please book an appointment with our practice nurse for your pneumococcal   vaccination. Alternatively, if you are unsure whether you are in the at risk category, please speak to the practice nurse who will be happy to advise you.

Diabetic Clinics

If you have Type II diabetes, you will be invited to have an annual review with our Health Care Support Worked and a follow up appointments with our Practice Nurse to develop a care plan to manage your condition.

Respiratory Clinics

If you have respiratory condition, you will be invited to attend an annual review appointment with our Practice Nurse to provide help with your condition and education.

Baby Clinic

This is held on a Thursday morning. This clinic is for regular assessments of the under 5’s clinic. Appointments for immunisations and examinations are arranged by the local Health Authority.

Health Care Support

Our Associate Practitioner, Mrs Sue Gutteridge holds her clinics Mon, Wed, Thu and Friday, with a combination of morning or afternoon sessions available.   Her main duties are to check patients blood pressure, ear syringing, record ECG's, spirometry (checking patients lung function), minor wound dressings and new patient health checks.  Sue also assists in the doctor's procedure clinic.
