Isolation note

The guidance is that individuals who have Covid-19 symptoms follows self-assessment tool and, if it advises them to self-isolate, it will direct them to the isolation notes which covers the individual for 10 days from commencement of symptoms OR for 14 days if a confirmed contact.

If after 10 days, the person feels they are too unwell to return to work, then the advice is to contact 111.  If, following an assessment, the patient is directed to the GP it is then the GP who will be able to issue a fit note.  This is found in the 'Ending Self-Isolation Guidance'.
